Better men for a better community
Delta Sigma Phi and its members strive to live by the motto: "Better Men, Better Lives", and there is no exception to the rule when it comes to its efforts to improving their local communities. Since 2005, when Hurricane Katrina struck, Delta Sigma Phi recognized the American Red Cross as its national philanthropy, where many of the active chapters donate a majority of their time across the nation.
The Epsilon Iota chapter has continued to prove that they are Better Men striving for a Better Community, in the 2013-2014 academic year: the chapter donated a total of 1,090 hours towards various organizations throughout the greater La Crosse area and its neighboring communities, such as: The Onalaska Jaycees, The Marie Louise Lokken Family Trust, The La Crosse Lions Club, and many more. Our chapter also has been partnering with Capable Canines of La Crosse to sponsor Dog Days which is an event with a small fee to pet future service dogs and provide some stress relief for students near finals time in the Spring. Proceeds go to help future service dogs at Capable Canines of La Crosse. |
